Ceilite were finalists for this Safety Initiative of the Year Award for their work in compiling the Health and Safety Committee. As a design and installation company that works for both the end user and main contractor on various sites, Ceilite foresaw the importance of a Health and Safety Committee back in April 2002 and realised they wanted everyone to have the opportunity to work towards a safer workplace.

Health and Safety area a top agenda. We set standards and have developed Health and Safety procedures that were not already in the public domain. All employees have assisted in the compilation of the Health and Safety related documentation. This self ownership ensures a natural progression to areas not already covered.

National Business Awards 2005
Regional finalists of the Investors in People Award for Business Improvement Through People. Ceilites policy is to employ apprentices (not pre-qualified site engineers) and train them as required. This policy is at the heart of all we do and ensures a fully skilled workforce for the future.

We were National Finalists for the Health and Safety Award and were highly commended in this category. Ceilites commitment to Health and Safety is of the highest importance throughout the company. To have that endorsed by the National Business Awards was an incentive for all at Ceilite to continue to strive to set the standards higher.

Ceilite were the winners of the Contractor of the Year (under £10 million turnover). Ceilite recognises that its employees and their development are integral elements of efficient business management objectives and contribute to the operational efficiency and profitability of the organisation.

Ceilite were winners of the Safety Initiative of the Year, a panel of judges were unanimous in granting this award for Ceilites work within the industry. We highlighted the safety requirements related to oxygen and acetylene usage.
